The Storm

On the afternoon of August 2, 2015, a ten minute storm passed through our area and uprooted about 75 trees in West Ridge and Rogers Park. The storm also passed through Indian Boundary Park and had a substantial impact on over three dozen trees in the park.

Mapping the Damage

Picture
It took a few days, but we walked around the park and assessed the damage. We plotted the coordinates of damaged trees and assigned them a code based on their damage level. Trees with minor damage get a green pin; trees with major or extreme damage get a red pin.

All of the pins are clickable and some of the trees will show a picture of itself. In the coming days, we will be providing more information and pictures.
