One Year Ago: The Last Goat at the Indian Boundary Park Zoo

With the recent opening of the new Nature Play Center, it's hard to remember what the zoo used to look like. For example, the former goat pen now contains prairie grass, seating, and interpretive media that inspires cloud gazing.

In this video, a goat is eating salad that was placed in various places on top of wooden blocks by a Lincoln Park Zoo employee. It was a practice that not only afforded the goat a treat but also an opportunity to stretch its muscles.

This video was recorded on August 5, 2013 a couple of weeks after George, the brown goat was said to have been euthanized.
