The fall bird walk at Indian Boundary Park is set for 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.
David Willard of the Chicago Audubon Society will lead the 45-minute tour of the park as he has for the last few years in spring and fall. This spring, he was so impressed with the number of species at the park that he joked we could have stayed viewing one tree for the whole hour.
Birders will step off from the IBP cultural center at 2500 W. Lunt at 8 a.m. and return there for refreshments and the inevitable conversation about birds and birding. Rain or shine.
No charge, but donations are welcome to the Indian Boundary Park Advisory Council.
