We'll have cake and a huge birthday card that all can sign to save for the centennial, plus other fun and exciting events.
More than 100 people visited Indian Boundary Park's Nature Center Sunday May 15 in the first of two celebrations marking the park's 100th birthday.
Chicago Park District Historian Julia Bachrach acted as docent for a tour of the park, and answered all questions historical and current about our 13.06 acre park.
The Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society provided an extensive display of historical photos, and signed up several new members (no initiation fee) who want to know more about our neighborhood and its history.
Park Supervisor Phil Martini sent the scores of youngsters (and parents) on a scavenger hunt of park monuments, and the IBP Advisory Council welcomed visitors and sold refreshments.
